Words are not merely an instrument of communication, but the building blocks for memorable works of imagination, beauty and power. And the people behind words are of special importance to us. 

Since our humble beginnings, Elephant & Coral has been celebrating the literary tradition with the Pen-Book Exchange Programme. In honouring an author of a published book with a gift of a branded pen, in exchange for a signed copy of the book (fiction or poetry), we have built up a veritable library of words and books from all over the world. 

Through the years, this has also given us the chance to meet with authors of different genres and cultures, who in their artistic endeavours lend meaning to our world of words and writing instruments. This programme is an ongoing one, so if you have – or know someone who has – written a fiction or poetry book, please contact us to be a part of this fraternity of exchange. The pen gift is a symbolic token of our appreciation to encourage and motivate emerging and established writers to continue living their dreams that, in turn, enrich the reality we live in.
