Kawarinuri is a new crafting technique for Pilot.  In this special collection of Pilot Kawarinuri Ishime Red Fountain Pen, Ishime (Pavement Pattern) Stone wall textured urushi are coated on the brass flat-top barrel, which give the rough feeling on the hands. The word "Urushi" and "Japan" are painted in golden powder on the black urushi end. The Pilot Kawarinuri Ishime Red Fountain Pen nib is 18k gold nib available in Fine, Medium and Broad.
