Sailor Limited Edition Thunder God And Dragon Fountain Pen
The Sailor Limited Edition Thunder God And Dragon Fountain Pen is an extremely rare fountain pen from Sailor, symbolizing the mythical Japanese 'Thunder God meets Dragon' in the traditional Japanese art of Kaga 加贺 Taka Maki-e.
'Raijin' or Vajrapani' the Thunder God (wielder of the Thunderbolt) has been worshiped by the faithful as a nature god (protecting against evil) since before the introduction of Buddhism into Japan. The ferocious Thunder God has a demons head with horns and claw like feet and hands. He is encircled by drums and he has a hammer to beat them.
In this Sailor Limited Edition Thunder God And Dragon Fountain Pen, the Thunder God is paired with the Dragon. The Dragon has been chosen as this popular spiritual creature is known to control clouds and rain as a Guardina of Water, and also in a symbol for good luck.
Very rare, very special in its work, especially it is made by the legendary nib master Nagahara Nobuyoshi 長原宣義 and it remains as one of the rarest Sailor Fountain Pen ever made with his iconic Nagahara nib which are credited for being able to make a user pulsate when using the nib. Only 25 pieces are known to be made and each is fitted with a Nagahara King Eagle 21kt Gold nib (no more in existence after his death in 2013) and presented in a beautiful lacquer box unseen in any Sailor pen presentation.
