It was in 1919 when Shunichi Nakata started the business of Platinum Fountain Pen. Nakaya Seisakusho (which means manufacturer) is to make and sell foutain pens. It was only in 1928 when the name was changed to "PLATINUM FOUNTAIN PEN CO.," along with it's trade mark of the globe.
The skills of Platinum fountain pen manufacturer was further confirmed in 1948 when Emperor Showa, "Hirohito" visited the Platinum booth during the First EXPO; and sure enough, Platinum Pen Company won the First Prize.
