The Namiki King Cobra Limited Edition (c. Summer 2001) is inspired by the fascination and respect for one of the most awesome and deadly snakes known to man. As a celebration to the year 2001, Namiki produced this 700 pieces limited edition King Cobra Collection. Admired for its aggressive reputation and lethal defense, the King Cobra is revered and perceived as godlike by some societies. They are intelligent animals praised in eastern cultures for their power, fertility and parental prowess. Each pen is hand made and painted using the ancient Japanese art of maki-e lacquering technique. Accented with an 18 karat gold nib and a superior ink delivery system ensures an exceptional writing experience. Recommended for collectors as this is one of the six Yukari sized Namiki Limited edition pen collection ever produced. Namely the Namiki White Tiger, Panda, Bald Eagle, King Cobra, Owl and the Seahorse Limited edition. Thereafter, the Yukari Royal sized was the standard size used to produced the annual limited edition by Namiki.
