Dunhill Namiki Swallows Fountain Pen
An extremely rare Dunhill Namiki nib size #1 with theme of Swallows (Chidori) was made by IPPA . A lever filler which works perfectly like any Dunhill Namiki that was made during the 1920s. Comes in an antique box that protects the pen. A slight hairline crack is evident on the cap which does not affect the exquisite maki-e work executed on the pen.
Dunhill Namiki pens are the most collectible pens among all the maki-e fountain pens because of its rarity and the choice of theme which differentiates it from Namiki and Pilot equivalents. That subtle difference in aura makes a difference to a collector when you hold the pen in your hand.
Dunhill Namikipens continued to be produced since the 1920s till around 2018 before it finally comes to an abrupt stop. Some of the later pieces were absolutely stunning, like the Hannya, Sakura Rose and Tanabata etc remain as one of the most talked about masterpieces till today.
