Namiki Pink Sakura Limited Edition was a very special limited edition fountain pen made by Namiki together with Namiki Dancing Beauty, Namiki Goose & Pink Flower and Namiki Sailing Boat in May 2003.  The beauty of this pen lies in the use of raden , mother of pearls, which were skillfully cut into heart shapes and inlaid onto the pen when the lacquer was still wet. Cut gold leaves were also inlaid using a special Kiri-kane (cut gold) to highlight the Pink Sakura fountain pen. You can see a kaleidoscope effect when you turn the pen in your hands. The Namiki Pink Sakura Limited Edition fountain pen is an absolutely stunning pen not because it was made by the Chief Urushi Artist of Namiki Kokokai, Kyusai Yoshida 吉田久齋; it was also his final masterpiece before he retired from Namiki.  Only 62 pieces of these pens were ever made and very few of these were sold in matching number set of four pieces. Among the 4 pieces edition, this is the only piece that was made and signed by the master lacquer artist, Kyusai Yoshida.
