Namiki Chinkin Dragon Fountain Pen (New)

Namiki Chinkin Dragon Fountain Pen (New) captures the dragon in three-dimensional feel, is chiselled by dots and lines, which are then inlaid with gold and blue gold powder.  To highlight the figure of the dragon, the whity gold powder is used to finish the clouds on this magnificent Emperor size Namiki pen. The dragon is a symbol of both strength and good fortune.  In ancient India, the Nagas (Dragon God) had both benevolent and malevolent forms.  In China, th Azure Dragon is one of the Four Gods guarding the Four Cardinal Directions. Appearing among swirling clouds, the dragon glares at the ground with a piercing expression.  In the design, the dragon clasps the Cintamani wish-fulfilling gem, which is represented by the ball at the tip of the pen clip to bring out the brilliance of the gem. The Namiki Master Artisan, Yasuji Sumi, using the chinkin technique to carve the dragon with dots and line, and the cloud and wave with dots. The fantastic No. 50 18 karat gold nib is incredibly large writing instrument. This fountain pen has an eyedropper filling system. It uses the same ink stopping function as the original Namiki eyedropper pens from the 1930's, which regulates the flow and prevents leakage. Available from November 15, 2020.
