Combining modern technology with a treasured Japanese art-form, Namiki introduces the Pilot Capless Hira Makie Kagimonyou Fountain Pen. The name Kagimonyou means "Key Design" and signifies an omen of good fortune. The intricate gold pattern represents the key that open a traditional storehouse where one keep valuable possessions. Maki-e is an ancient Japanese art-form where metallic powders are expertly sprinkled into delicate layers of wet lacquer to create intricate designs. The Namiki Capless Hira Makie Kagimonyou Fountain Pen is graced with an 18kt retractable white gold nib.

About Namiki Pen

The Pilot Pen Corporation was founded by Ryosuke Namiki with Masao Wada in 1918 under the name of the Namiki Manufacturing Company. Pilot Fountain Pen  is well known globally as the best Japanese pen manufacturer producing fine writing instruments and stationery and to some extent, jewellery.

Being the largest pen manufacturer in Japan, many Pilot Fountain Pens are produced purely for the usage of domestic market. However, some premium range of limited edition, special editions were open for international markets.
