Namiki Chinkin is one of the iconic designs of Japanese lacquering technique where gold powder are inlaid into millions of lines and dots to show auspicious Japanese motifs. The dots are called dan-buri while the lines are called sen-buri created by carved dots and lines and lacquered and coloured with precious gold foil and powder.  Each touch of the carving chisel requires excellent skill and concentration by a skilled craftsman.  Namiki Chinkin pens are truly one of of the most collectible pens among the Namiki Collection.
